SAD DAY...
turned on the TV tis morning.... :<
Pope passed away... was at the stadium in '86 when he came visiting... stood in the rain holding a placard that said welcome... has holding the alphabet 'w'... saw the video footage of his visit on CNA... thinking back, it was really an experience of a lifetime... he went past me and waved... well, got soaked through by rain... and was windy... freeze...
went rome/vatican city in 2000... didnt get that close to him this time... but close enough... hey how many people can get so close to him huh?... seeing footage of the vatican city brings back memories of that year... walking through the city... standing at St Peters square... looking at the crypts where the previous pope's were buried... sigh~
wanted to make a trip back to vatican last year... never made the trip... going to be different next time i visit VC...
